Monika Radojevic is a Brazilian-Montenegrin poet, writer and women’s rights campaigner. In 2019, she became the inaugural winner of the Merky Books New Writers’ prize for her poetry, and her debut collection, teeth in the back of my neck was published in 2021 with Penguin Random House. Her writing has been described as a “vital contribution to literature” by Huck Magazine and “courageous and arresting…a poet to watch” by the Independent. Monika works for the UK’s only feminist political party, the Women’s Equality Party, and is also working on her first short story collection. In her spare time she is an artist and painter. She writes, performs, edits and runs Feminist Invoicing, a poetry project about power dynamics and what we’re owed from systems of oppression.

Vickie Vértiz is the oldest child of an immigrant Mexican family. Her writing is featured in the New York Timesmagazine, the Academy of American Poets, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among many others. She is the author of Palm Frond with Its Throat Cut and Auto/Body. Palm Frond won the 2018 PEN America literary prize in poetry and Auto/Body won the 2022 Sandeen Prize from the University of Notre Dame. A recipient of fellowships from the Mellon Foundation, VONA, CantoMundo, and Macondo, Vickie teaches writing at UC-Santa Barbara. She lives in Los Angeles.
